Current Volunteer Opportunities

You must be an approved OTE Volunteer to sign up for these volunteer opportunities. If you have not been approved to volunteer, please find the volunteer application below.

Art Is In Bloom: OTE Art Night Volunteer

Assist at a variety of arts and craft stations during the OTE Art night event. All art supplies and orientation for each station will be provided. No craft is overcomplicated, overly messy or will require specific artistic talent. We are looking for 10 volunteers to support this event along with the PTO. Craft station examples include: kinetic sand, scratch off art, windchimes, pipe cleaner flowers, etc.

Crossing Guard/Safety Patrol (AM and PM)

Assist with directing traffic and supporting student safety at multiple locations to ensure our students safely travel to and from school. Two shifts offered every day: 8:10AM-8:40AM and 2:45-3:15PM

Recess Rover

Recess rover responsibilities include moving around the field and playground during recess where OTE staff see a need, and ensuring all students are being safe and kind with their peers.

Lunch Room Helper

Lunch room helpers will assist during student lunches. This includes serving milk, opening snacks, and supporting kids with their lunchtime needs.

New to Volunteering?

To volunteer on field trips, in classrooms and at school events, please complete the following steps:  

1. Submit a North Clackamas School District Volunteer Application, which includes a background check. Background checks take time to process, so please ensure you apply well ahead of your desired volunteer dates.

2. View the NCSD Volunteer Training Video and the Oregon Trail Volunteer Orientation Presentation at the links below to ensure you are familiar with volunteer expectations and guidelines. 

You will receive notice when your volunteer application has been processed and your background check has been cleared.  Background checks expire after 3 years. You will need to reapply to volunteer at that time.
